There’s a real sense of community in Ashford Carbonel, with the Village hall acting as the main hub for most community events and driving the social calendar.

The village has many clubs and special events including pub night, Yoga, Spanish Night, Afternoon Teas, Gardening Club and film evenings.

Their local primary school, the Bishop Hooper School, is on the edge of the village.

There’s plenty of lovely country pubs within minutes of the village including the Saley Arms, The Castle Inn and the Roebuck Inn.

St Mary Magdalene Church is truly stunning. Surrounded by a number of yew trees which are older than the church itself, which suggests there may have been an earlier structure on the site either Saxon or even pre-Christian. The building itself dates back to Norman times and has been a place of worship for over 800 years.
